January CAS Stencil Challenge

Hello and welcome to the start of a new challenge and a new adventure!

This is going to be all about playing with stencils and learning how
to use stencils with different techniques and different products.

This will stretch the use of your stencils - which is always a good thing.
Stencils are one of the most inexpensive ways to add
an image or pattern to your cards.

It's important to keep your card entries CAS (clean and simple).
The easiest way if you find your stencil has taken over your whole card front,
is to use a portion of the design.
You can do that by adding a plain frame or border around your design,
or by cutting your design into a smaller panel and adhering to your card base.

This first CAS Stencil challenge is hosted by Loll.
Let's get started with one of the most basic techniques for stenciling ...

    Welcome to CAS Stencil!

Do you love to make CAS (clean and simple) cards??  And do you love to play with stencils and all those fun techniques and products that work with stencils??  Then this is the challenge for you.

It's amazing how much a little bit of stenciling can add to a CAS design.  It can be a small part like a simple sponged background, or the major part of a design, like a main image stenciled with embossing paste.  Or it can be something in-between.

I hope you'll join me to discover lots of different ways to use stencils on cards.  And this is all while keeping a CAS (clean and simple) design.

For our challenge, obviously, you will need to have a stencil(s).  If you don't, you can always make your own using dies or punches.

First, let's introduce the Designers for the CAS Stencil Challenge.

Moving over from our sister challenge, CAS Mix Up ...

    Nancy

New Designers to the CAS Team

    Barb
    Sue's Card Craft

The goal is to provide a fun and support environment for fellow card makers to play or learn new techniques and products with stenciling.

Many of our participants from the other CAS Challenges (CAS Mix Up, CAS Watercolour, CAS Christmas) have not only enjoyed sharing their creations, but they have made new friends along the way.  Joining challenges is a great way to meet fellow crafters.  So pull out those stencils and join us!

We'll be back on January 4th with the first challenge.  See you soon!
