Hello CAS Stencil fans!
This month I am your hostess and I would like all of us to try using techniques where we use baby wipes with our stencils. I have a few different techniques on the topic linked or described below.
One uses Distress Inks, one uses Pan Pastels and one uses acrylic paint - but feel free to use another technique you may know about and share it with us!  It just has to involve baby wipes and stencils!

Techniques:

Acrylic paint, stencils and baby wipes:  (no video just a description below)
(This technique is from a challenge by Annsforte3 over at Splitcoaststampers)
Supplies:  acrylic paint, a brayer, stencils, and some baby wipes.

1) First select a heavy cardstock and apply drops of several different colors of acrylic paint onto the paper.  Using your brayer, or something similar, roll the colors across your cardstock.

2) Immediately place your stencil over the paint, then using a baby wipe gently swipe the baby wipe across the stencil, removing some of the paint. Reminder do not press down too hard so as not to tear your cardstock.

Please follow the challenge rules:
    • Cards only with stenciling, following monthly theme
    • CAS design (clean and simple) - definition on sidebar
    • Include link to challenge on your blog post
    • Enter up to three (3) times
    Thank you!!!

Welcome to our wonderful Guest Designer, Sarah (Funky Fossil Designs).

    CAS Stencil August's Top Picks

Wonderful to see so many of you having fun with Sprays and your Stencils this month.
Thanks so much for playing along and inspiring all of us with your fabulous creations.

    Our Top Pick for August
Gundi's fantastic nautical CAS card, is a simple and fresh design, making her a clear winner this month - her clever use of two little die cut yachts where they appear to be buffeting about on her sprays/stencil sea background is quite creative and effective.

    Congratulations, Gundi!

Robyn, here with this months challenge using sprays or mists with your stencils. Does this pic show some of the mists that you have in your stash?  If not, you can make your own simply adding some of the powdered pigments, like Brushos, Colour Bursts or even Magicals, to a mister and adding water.  The videos below will give you some helpful hints, just remember our challenge is Clean and Simple ..... join in and have fun!!
